Our donation-based community offerings include daily yoga classes, RYT 200 & RYT300/500 Yoga Teacher Training Immersions, 1000 hr MindBody Centering Yoga Therapy Trainings, Mindfulness Coaching, Yoga Therapy Counseling, creativity and wellness workshops (for yoga students, teachers and clinicians), dance workshops & performances, art shows, movie nights, vegetarian cooking classes, locally sourced clothing and gifts, fund raisers, meditation, or simply a place to share a cup of tea with a friend.

Nina Be & Bart Westdorp built Global Breath Studio to embody the mindfulness teachings of their teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh, in order to share the understanding that we are all part of the same global family, where we share our resources and our compassion for all beings.

Everything that happens at Global Breath Studio is centered around our charitable fund, LiveGlobally. Whether you take a yoga class, purchase a hand made soap, participate in a Teacher Training, or watch a movie, you are supporting your brothers and sisters across the globe.

All classes, which range from powerful Ashtanga-based practices to healing Restorative Yoga, are by donation. There are also many Yoga Workshops throughout the year, to help deepen your understanding of the profound effects of Yoga.

Please join us on Friday Nov 14 for a special Evening of Mindfulness. We will focus on our practice of gratitude through mindful food preparation, cooking, and enjoying a delicious vegetarian meal together. After dinner we will end with yummy Restorative Yoga.

Elephants.jpg

When a baby elephant loses its family, it will die of loneliness. We all need to be nurtured by our community in order to thrive in life. For the past 3 years we have been raising money to help build the Ingrid School in Matopeni, one of the poorest slums in Nairobi (Kenya). For $0.50 a day you can feed and clothe a child, and pay for his or her education.

In January of 2013 Bart & Nina visited Matopeni, and took a group of children from the Ingrid School to the Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary to meet the orphaned baby elephants. As one of the children remarked afterwards: "We can not take care of ourselves, unless we learn how to take care of the elephants". Please click below to find out how you can help support the children & the elephants.
