"The agent of transformation and healing is called Mindfulness." ~ Thich Nhat Hanh
In order to be fully present to the miracle of this life, we have to practice 'stopping'. Our lives are filled with so much information, busyness and distraction that we sometimes start feeling lost and overwhelmed. Creating a Mindfulness practice can help us to slow down, so that we can start noticing that the conditions for happiness are already present in each moment.
The theme for this Day of Mindfulness is "True Love". If you love someone, the greatest gift you can give them is your presence. Please join us on Sunday April 13 to practice becoming present for ourselves, so we can be fully present for others. We will practice sitting and walking meditation, mindful eating (vegetarian lunch is included), restorative yoga, and spend time looking at the 6 Mantras of Love, a "Beginning Anew" practice, and share some simple yet powerful ‘applied mindfulness’ practices that you can incorporate into your everyday life.
This Day of Mindfulness is led by Bart Westdorp (Mindfulness Coach) and Nina Be (E-RYT-500), of MindBodyCentering Yoga. They are both students of Thich Nhat Hanh.
The fee for this workshop is a suggested donation of $50 (a vegetarian lunch will be included).
Walk-ins welcome, or pre-register online.
