This class is a 'complete' practice: Mantra (devotional chanting), Pranayama (breath control), Asana (physical postures) & Dhyana (meditative absorption). Inspired by the classical Hatha/Raja Yoga lineage of Sri Dharma Mittra, we use this time to let go of our attachment to 'small self', so we can arrive into Samadhi (union with our Higher Self). We start with chanting, followed by several powerful yet accessible breath practices. After Surya Namaskara Asana (sun salutations) & Shiva Namaskara Asana (advanced sun salutations), we cover the King (Headstand), Queen (Shoulderstand) and Prince (Fish) of the poses. We end class with at least 15 minutes of Deep Relaxation. Even though this is a more 'advanced' class, it is still open to the novice Yogi. Live percussion by Rob Chamberlain!
