Inspired by Sri Dharma Mittra's Maha Sadhana practice, this class is an inspiring, vigorous yet graceful practice. Several rounds of Surya Namaskara are followed by Shiva Namaskara, a powerful sequence that helps to build strength and inner concentration. We always cover the 5 main postures: Sirsasana (headstand), Sarvangasana (shoulderstand), Matsyasana (fish), Urdhva Dhanurasana (upward facing bow), Paschimottanasana (forward fold). This class is not for the novice yogi, but no one is ever excluded :) Bart offers lots of modifications and suggestions for those with tightness or injuries. Live percussion by Rob Chamberlain!
