Introduction to the exciting world of meditation and mindfulness. We bring together body, mind, breath, and life so that we can awaken to the beauty of the universe and the love available in all of us. Each week we start by exploring a posture for becoming present, then attune to our body in an opening mediation. We discuss simple practices for becoming aware of the mind and cultivating joy in life. Breathing exercises for concentrating and balancing the mind are introduced and we practice them together. We close with a more light hearted and fun mindfulness activity that we can apply to our lives off the cushion. Each class will be a bit different as we travel through our inner capacity for calm. Inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh’s translations of the Anapanasati Sutra (Breathe, you are alive!), as well as meditations from many sources.

Drop in for this class is $10. You can also use your class pass (any type).
