WEEKLY MEDITATION

Please join us on Wednesdays at 7 pm for a simple yet powerful meditation practice, in Thich Nhat Hanh's Plum Village tradition. This class is led by Bart, who spent several retreats with Thich Nhat Hanh, including a one month stay in Plum Village.

This light & accessible practice is focused on finding present moment awareness through the body and the breath. We sit for about 10-15 minutes (blankets, bolsters & chairs provided), followed by a short walking meditation. Afterward Bart shares some insights from various Buddhist teachings (the Anapanasati Sutra, the Heart Sutra, 4 Noble Truths, Noble Eightfold Path, Mantras of Love, 5 Mindfulness Trainings), and how you can apply these mindfulness practices to your everyday life.

We finish with a brief check-in (Dharma sharing) to see how everyone is doing, practicing deep listening.

Open to all levels. No meditation experience required. There are usually about 15-20 people in attendance.

$5 suggested donation. All proceeds support the Ingrid Education Centre in the Matopeni slums of Nairobi (Kenya).
